.:Autumn Flare:.

The moment I started this deviation I knew it had a very low chance of winning, but I decided to do it anyway, she's a very gorgeous horse, and I felt like trying out some new effects.

I tried to make this more impressionist and less boring realism, I also experimenting with a warm autumn colour palette and lighting effects Overall it took me an effing long time T_T I like to think it was worth it. 

Story:
Starlite shook her mane in the peaceful autumn breeze as she shuffled the autumn leaves around on the ground with her muzzle; she was looking for something tasty to nibble on. 
The warm colour surrounding her and the sun peaking through the leaves made her feel completely calm and stress free. 
She was walking down a red and grey path when a buzzing made her flick her ears back in agitation. A fly had decided to land on her, the NERVE!
This FLY!

The mare flung her ears back and squealed with all her might, bucking and kicking with all her power, sending her tail poofing up in the slight breeze. The fly was long gone, but mini boss was still intent of getting how annoyed she was across.

She flung her head up in the air before setting off at a gallop, bolting down the path and sending leaves flying in every direction.

She came to a sudden and violent stop as she reached a orange clearing, the quiet of the area was almost piercing. She snorted once in disgust before kicking a tree, sending wood splintering everywhere.

She showed that fly.

ahem, i wrote the rant before everything else   
----------Warning: Rant below, no need to read---------------
Since I picked up this style i have had no luck in Art auctions and competitions, in fact, i've always come last or second to last. 
I guess it's because everyone wants to seem really nice and make the people who have awesome stylised come first..and the newbies come second..and so on..and so on, till the realism people that spent hours on their work is left, oh well, they'll be last then it does make me feel like crap every time you do that you know, you self righteous judges who want the newbies to come first so they can feel good about themselves, that's awesome of you, but that's all of you all of you do that, leaving me with a bunch of 12th or more places in my horses records. I feel like maybe i'm delusional and my drawings don't actually look like a horse, maybe a deformed rat instead. :c I know you are probably thinking i'm over exaggerating, but every competition i've entered, it's been the same, recently i entered my last straw competition, i came last. So that is it, no more harpg competitions for me. Just this. 
You also may justify that by it's effort judging, that just hurts my feelings more, you think 12 hours of solid painting is worth coming last? Against a 2 hour one? You think I didn't spend years practicing my style, slaving away at my desk wanting to become the best i can be? Do you think i just magic it out of thin air with no effort? Some people say they don't like tracing, okay fine. I've stopped 'tracing' this is referenced and even after that I skeleton traced, i didn't think I needed to state that but apparently i do.
And then someone says 'it's because you colour pick' PARDON? WHERE did i state I colour picked? what gives you the RIGHT to ASSUME i colour pick and make me come last?! What gives you the right to assume colour picking means no effort anyway!? I. DO. NOT. COLOUR. PICK. oohh, weren't expecting that were you? -.- I colour palette if you really want to know, where i get a random image of a horse of a simliar coat to the one i am drawing and i use that as my palette, NOT the image itself. So to stop you ASSUMING that this time, i've used a reference without similar coat colours. thanks.
Also you say it's because you're judging it against my other drawings, and my other drawings look the same as this one. I'M SORRY, that i put 100% into every drawing, not just the one i am entering I can't make myself improve past this point, so my drawings look the same because it is now my fixed style, my 100% is. this. 
Now this drawing in particular may look actually worse than my normal ones, but that is because i was experimenting with an impressionist style and it didn't work out, so sue me, it actually made me put more effort into it rather than less x|
I've had so much bad luck , in this site. Every competition, even RNG, i've been annihilated, complete loss. There was once i even had a 1 out of 1,000 chance of LOSING, and i lost, i was gobsmacked, there might of been some hidden forces at play at that point. I try and enter so many times that even if luck is against me i have a chance at winning, i never do. yet i still enter things, it's killing me here. 

So here's another entry, here's another painting proving that i have so much uncalled for faith in my luck suddenly appearing and being good, that i still put myself through this. This won't win, there is 1% chance it will, 1 out of 1,000. It's just the way it is.
